In 2012 Lawrence DeVincentz and I visited the police Dock location, The police dock building has long gone, but the trees have been cleared and now the steps down to the dock are accessible. There were a group of people fishing when we visited. Also you can see the location where the WGON helicopter lands here.

The U.S. Steel Tower can be seen over the river in the distance, this is the building in Dawn of the Dead where the lights start to go out, as the helicopter takes off.
