Dawn of the Dead has had a $6 million digital conversion into a real 3-D format by Incheon based DNext Media under the supervision of Dawn’s original producer, Richard P. Rubinstein and has had its world premier in Busan, South Korea. It should only be a matter of time until Richard Rubinstein brings the 3D version to play at a cinema near you!
Busan International Film Festival Screening of Dawn of the Dead 3D – Closing the evening the first “Midnight Passion“, which begins with a bang of Dawn of the Dead 3D, George Romero‘s masterpiece converted under the supervision of Richard Rubinstein. One of the cornerstones of the horror genre in the 80s and one of the most acute socio–political metaphors, including zombies and shopping centers, which found the screen in the magnificence of 3D. And already it is growing curiosity for scenes that will exploit to the maximum depth of field.
